Holi’s Happening Now!

Holi kicked off yesterday, March 13, and wraps today, March 14—India’s streets are alive with color! People toss powders—pink, green, orange—dance to drums, and share laughs, marking spring and good triumphing over evil. It’s tied to tales like Krishna painting Radha’s face—a playful, forgiving vibe. In South India, Pooja’s home, it’s often gentler—think temple blessings, bonfires, and sweets like ladoos—but the spirit’s just as big. Right now, families are out celebrating—how cool is that?

Holi’s Heart: Joy & Togetherness

Holi’s magic is its chaos—everyone’s a mess of color, and that’s the point! Kids drench adults, neighbors trade snacks, and strangers hug it out. It’s all about connection, renewal, and kindness—Pooja’s world in a nutshell! In Pooja: Destiny Awaits, she meets the Great Animal Council, bonds with Jay, and helps animals everywhere—not with colors, but with a big heart. Holi’s lesson of unity fits her story—small acts making a rainbow of change.

Holi Colors Our Storytime

We’re bringing Pooja to life at Lincoln Parish Library on May 28—our storytime debut! Jamison Shults, with his actor’s voice, will read her best bits, while I sketch live—58 pages into a bright show. Holi’s happening now, so I’m inspired—maybe I’ll splash some festival hues into my drawings come May!
